Frequently Asked Questions

Q: HOW CAN I MAKE MY REED DIFFUSER LAST LONGER?

There are many factors that contribute to how long your reed diffuser will last.

-Air conditioning

-Heating

-Closed / Open doors

-Dehumidifiers

-Size of your space

-Number of reed sticks used

-How often reed sticks are flipped

-Diffuser location

On average, 220ml & 200ml diffusers last 3-4 months, 500ml diffusers last 5-6 months, 120ml diffusers last 2-3 months and 50ml diffusers last 1-2 months, but ultimately this will depend on the many factors, such as the ones mentioned above. Keep them in a draught-free, shady and cool environment, this will help your diffusers last much longer than if you place them on a warm, sunny windowsill.

Q: HOW CAN I CONTROL THE STRENGTH OF MY REED DIFFUSER?

Yes you can control the strength of your diffuser, to a degree!

Simply add or remove reeds – the stronger the scent you want, the more reeds you’ll need to add, and vice versa, if you prefer a more subtle scent, remove a few reeds.

Q: HOW OFTEN SHOULD I FLIP MY REED STICKS?

There isn't a certain period to turn your reed sticks, but whenever you feel that the scent weakens or whenever you need to increase the strength of the diffuser then its the right time to do that. On average reed sticks are turned ever 2-4 weeks.

Q: HOW CAN I ADD A BURST OF FRAGRANCE TO MY SPACE?

To add a burst of fragrance to your space, simply turn your reeds over and place the top end of the reeds into the liquid.

Q: CAN I LIGTH MY REEDS?

NO, NEVER!

You should NEVER EVER light the reeds in your diffuser as the diffuser liquid is flammable! It should be kept away from all sources of fire, fabrics and objects that are sensitive to diffuser oils and liquids.

Q: CAN I USE THE SAME REEDS MORE THAN ONCE?

If your new diffuser is a different scent, we definitely suggest using a fresh set of reeds, so the new fragrance doesn’t get contaminated by the old. If your new diffuser is the same scent, the same reeds could be fine, but will not be as effective as a set of brand new reeds.

The short answer: you should always use a fresh set of reeds with a new diffuser.
